The Whitethorn Project – June 2017

Work by Leigh Ann Beavers, an art professor at the University of Washington and Lee, Lexington, VA.

A vivid exploration of  Whitethorn trees in the Kinvara area, using draughtmanship and a range of print techniques, including rubber stamps.

Weird and Wonderful – March 2017

work by Viv French, Di Rock, Wishbone and Lorna Burrows

Four artists living in the Burren, with a highly varied, eclectic approach to art. Wishbone produces realist artworks. Di Rock paints colourful textured abstract pieces. Vivien French is a mixed media artist who has studied many different arts, including sculpture and textiles. With guest artist Lorna Burrows.


Daughter of the Dagda – February 2017

To celebrate the coming of Spring, KAVA hosted a group exhibition entitled ‘Daughter of the Dagda’ a reference to the Goddess Brigit, the precurser of St. Brigit.

The artists were Fiona Cawley, Patsy Connolly, Eleanor Duggan, Kaye Maahs, Hilary Morley, Noreen O’Sullivan, Patricia Timmons and Rachel Varden; all are graduates of GMIT’s BA in Art and Design, class of 2015
